Your house battery powers everything while the engine is off. Starter batteries are not designed for deep cycling—add a dedicated leisure bank.
AGM vs lithium
AGM: cheaper upfront, heavy, charge slower, tolerate cold better in some setups.
Lithium (LiFePO4): expensive, light, flat voltage curve, needs BMS—excellent for full-time use.
Installation
Mount in a vented box strapped to floor or wall. Keep terminals covered. Use appropriate lugs and torque. Separate starter and house with a battery isolator or DC-DC charger.
Never weld or grind near unprotected battery terminals.
